Groundbreaking - Dig It!

Overview:

Wiersma has a BIG IDEA for the groundbreaking of the State Historic Society. To best involve all 72 counties, Wiersma created a “synchronized celebration” where she used 72 shovels and 72 volunteers from each country to “Dig It” and turn the soil.

Results:

Statewide media coverage and happy participants who shared the ownership of the project and supported it funding.
